Kwun Tong is part of the Kwun Tong District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating. Many Kwun Tong industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios; note the building name and floor, as access can differ in the evening and at weekends.

Great budget-friendly lunch spot in Kwun Tong, with meals under HK$60. I ordered the classic BBQ Pork and Egg Rice. Even though the pork was lean, it was surprisingly tender and flavorful! The iced lemon tea was standard. Space is a bit tight and it gets quite crowded during peak hours.

Really good food. Pineapple bun is delicious. Friendly staff. Hong Kong style milk tea is also good, but it’s a bit too strong for me personally. The beef on the soup noodles is very soft and delicious.

Typical HK cafe. Food was good and reasonably priced. Parking is mostly paid street and garage parking.

Waso used to be one of my favourite restaurants for breakfast whenever I visited Hong Kong. This kwun tong one has just been moved to a new pace, a few steps from the old one… but my gut feeling is correct: price increase and the owner / family member is no longer there, probably it’s a franchise or anyways, once a restaurant expands , you can expect: portion of food is smaller (though still big enough for me), the soup is a little difference than before ( not bad, but there is nuance , I can tell). Seats are comfi than before but waiters are not paying attention to customers. I waited long after waving my hands to the group of chatting staff. …Fish meat is disappointing , in chinese “削”. And I ordered what I exactly used to order last year, haha, 30% price increase! So, I won’t be a frequent visitor anymore.

I would recommend eating here early before 11 am. There was a long line when we walked by again around 1300. We ordered the lunch meat with egg and noodles, pork chops, chicken wings, with macaroni in tomato soup, and pork liver, beef, and thousand year old egg with cilantro & noodles. The tomato macaroni had a lot flavor in the broth. The pork chops are super tender. For the amount of money you pay for the pork liver noodles; they give you an ample amount of pork liver with no gamy taste. The noodles were light and the broth was flavorful. I want to eat here again to try the pineapple bun.
