About Cupping Room (觀塘)
Cupping Room (觀塘) is a café in Kwun Tong, at 九龍觀塘觀塘道418號創紀之城五期大堂高層15號舖. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
Cafés, bakeries, dessert and drinks shops are often mainly takeaway with a few seats, and weekend afternoons are the busiest. Many accept Octopus, credit cards and e-wallets, and some run loyalty schemes or pre-orders; birthday cakes and festive boxes (mooncakes at Mid-Autumn, for example) usually need ordering in advance, a few days ahead on popular dates. If you plan to work or study in a café, check for power sockets and any seating time limit.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:00–21:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 6879 8018. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work. More information is on its website, cuppingroom.hk.
At 3.9 out of 5 on Google (121 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Kwun Tong is part of the Kwun Tong District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating. Many Kwun Tong industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios; note the building name and floor, as access can differ in the evening and at weekends.

Really enjoyed my meal here! The Margherita pizza was delicious with a crispy blistered crust, fresh basil, and the perfect mix of tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. The spicy pulled pork linguine was amazing — soft pasta in a tasty fiery sauce with tender smoky pork and just the right kick. I had it with their dirty coffee, which was rich, bold, and smooth. Highly recommended!!!!

Spicy Prawn Tartar Brioche The brioche bun is wonderfully soft and tender, with a slight sweetness that complements the filling. The prawn tartar comes with a gentle kick of spice, while the creamy egg salad adds a smooth, rich texture. Overall, it’s a well-balanced and satisfying dish. Avocado Smoked Chicken Breast Sourdough The sourdough has a lovely crunch, and the avocado adds a creamy freshness. The smoked chicken breast is decent, though the smoky flavor isn’t particularly pronounced. It’s a solid choice—nothing too surprising, but pleasant and well-executed. Flat White The flat white is exceptionally smooth, with a deep, rich coffee flavor. The balance between milk and espresso is spot-on, achieving that perfect harmony. However, it falls slightly short in temperature—it could be a bit hotter to fully enhance the experience.

Just have lunch either friend. The piccolo was so so. The salmon was dried and overpriced. The crab spaghetti was salty.

it's a busy shop in apm. there's a small area at the counter outside to wait for coffee but also a dining area inside for eat-in. i do appreciate it of not limiting dinning time even at busy lunch hour! the staff was polite too. the food was on average but we were able to stay and enjoy the coffee. happy to come again. more travel ideas, photos & videos👇🏾 follow me on ig: food.n.cats.not1less

I ordered a large hot white coffee for dine-in at Cupping Room, but it was served in a paper cup, with the staff explaining that large cups are only available in paper. This was surprising, especially since there’s a 10% dine-in surcharge. The coffee itself tasted thin, likely due to an issue with the brewing process, and didn’t meet expectations. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I hope the shop can improve its dine-in presentation and coffee quality.
