About 東園酒家宴會廳
東園酒家宴會廳 is a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Wan Chai, at 香港島灣仔軒尼詩道71號G/F & 1/F. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Opening hours are not listed yet. Hours vary a lot between businesses and may change at weekends and on public holidays, so call first or check the Google Maps link on this page. Phone: 2833 6116. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.
It has a Google rating of 3.4 out of 5 from 1,626 reviews, which is on the low side, so read the most recent reviews before you go.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving.

This restaurant is fully packed with the local in “yum cha” time. We order dim sum menu from the english menu but the english menu is don’t have picture so recommend to compare English menu with the Chinese menu that have the picture. I’m a big fan of “hakou” (shrimped dumplings) but for here I’ve recommended rice roll instead of.

One of my favorite HK traditional restaurant (酒樓). Don't expect the high end service from the waiters because they are all local aunts and uncles. But the atmosphere make you feel like in the the 80s 90s HK movie.

Service was simple and quick. The classic pig’s lung soup with chicken feet was well prepared.

Dinner #1 in Hong Kong! Missed authentic Asian food. Love how Asian restaurants serve family style. My favorite was the beef curry and pork buns. Also appreciate how food costs less in Asian countries, all of this was only $50 USD. 🍴 Seafood & tofu in hot pot, beef curry, Singapore noodles, pork buns, bean sweet dessert.
