About 龍群賓館 Dragon Hostel HK
龍群賓館 Dragon Hostel HK, a hotel in Mong Kok, Yau Tsim Mong, is at 九龍旺角亞皆老街83號Room 707. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.
When booking, check whether the rate includes service charges and breakfast, read the cancellation terms and compare with the property's own website. Prices are highest and rooms scarcest at Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year and during major trade fairs and concerts; with heavy luggage, a stay near an MTR or Airport Express station makes life easier. Ask about early check-in or late check-out when you book.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

From my point of view, it was a mistake to choose this hostel. I was attracted by the low price for Hong Kong, which has some of the highest accommodation prices of any city I've visited. I leave early in the morning and return to the hotel late at night and I thought "How bad can it be?!" But it was worse than I expected. Located on the 7th floor of an old, ordinary block of flats, which has not been renovated for decades. There are two elevators (it seems there are two more, because the ones I'm talking about were numbered 3 and 4). One stops only on even-numbered floors, the other only on odd-numbered ones. They are slow, there is always a queue for them, because there are several hostels in the block. Access to the room is through a common room, which looks more like a warehouse combined with a small tailoring workshop (there was a sewing machine and one for hemming). There are two shared toilets, a rusty fridge and a microwave. An indescribable mess. The room was tiny, without a window, 80% occupied by a bed (if you are over 1.75m tall you can't sleep lying down, as you can only fit diagonally). In the morning you don't know if it's raining or sunny outside, you don't know how

We stayed in HK with my hubby and our two teens from April 14–18, 2026. This hostel in Mongkok area was a great place to stay, we didn’t encounter any issues with the room at all. The owner was very accommodating and kind, which made our stay even more pleasant. They also provide a microwave and hot water, which we really appreciated since we were able to enjoy our meals at the hostel whenever we preferred to eat in. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Hong Kong! 💜 Highly recommended, especially for budget travelers. Sulit talaga! 👌🏼

We booked and stayed for 5 days and 4 nights. When we arrived, the owner personally approached us and warmly welcomed us all the way to our room. We had our own washroom, so we didn’t need to share it with other guests. The hostel is very quiet and monitored 24 hours a day with CCTV, so you’ll feel very safe. The room is air-conditioned. In the kitchen, there is a hot water machine available if you want to make coffee or prepare cup noodles. There is also a microwave if you want to heat your food. Every morning and afternoon, a cleaner comes by, so if your garbage bin is full, it will be emptied the same day. The hostel is very convenient, especially for Filipinos, as there are nearby Filipino restaurants within walking distance, as well as convenience stores such as Jollibee, McDonald’s, and 7-Eleven. Mong Kok Station is also just a 3-minute walk away if you plan to travel to Disneyland or Ocean Park. This hostel is highly recommendable specially for Filipino travellers. The price is reasonable, and the owner is easy to communicate with—he replies promptly whenever you send a message or ask about any concerns. Also there is alot of amenities around the area. PS: Pilipino ako
