Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

Very convenient and accessible. Love the service. Right next to MTR exit but at the same time quiet enough to gave a nice conversation. The matcha reminds me of Kyoto, too.

Travel Cafe Eat Drink - Malaysia & Asia A must visit for the sweet-tooth. Kamakura ice in Hysan Place,Causeway Bay serves very authentic desserts. The matcha drink was smooth and matcha mochi was not too chewy or overly sweet.

A must-visit for any dessert lover. As someone with a major sweet tooth, I keep coming back here. The combination of matcha drink + warabimochi is unmatched—the mochi adds such a great silky texture and the perfect level of sweetness to the drink. - Best Drink: Asakawa-en’s Matcha Latte & Strawberry Asakawa-en’s Matcha Latte (w/ warabimochi) - Biggest Surprise: Roasted Green Tea (tenku no hojicha) w/ warabimochi. I didn't expect to like the plain roasted tea as much as I did, but it’s delicious and not boring at all. - Fruit Flavors: The Strawberry is my favorite, though the Mango is very light and quite subtle compared to the others - Fav Mochi: Of all the flavors (soybean, matcha, black sesame), the matcha one is my absolute favorite (please try) Highly recommend if you’re in CWB. They also have a brand new branch opening in TST. Keep an eye out for their grand opening promos from 3–7 April 2026. Great chance to grab a deal if you're in the area. *D1 Houng Sun Building, 45-47 Carnarvon Road, TST

I had a really lovely experience at Kanmidokoro Kamakura (Hysan Place). The matcha latte was excellent—rich, smooth, and full of authentic matcha flavor without being overly sweet. I also tried the pure matcha, which was equally impressive, offering a clean and refined taste that feels very high quality. The black sesame mochi was another highlight. It had a deep, nutty flavor and just the right level of sweetness—perfect if you prefer desserts that aren’t too sugary. Everything felt like a healthier snack option, which made the experience even better. On top of that, the staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive vibe. Definitely a great spot for matcha lovers or anyone looking for a light, satisfying treat.

They serves the most authentic flavors of Warabi Mochi. They also offer a variety of shaved ice and drinks, all highlighting this delightful chewy warabi mochi.
