A great choice if you are looking for an accommodation outside of the busy areas of Mong Kok, TST, and Central, but still near enough to enjoy the spots in those areas. The interior is very pleasing, a combination of retro and contemporary design. It is a walking distance to MTR Prince Edward station. There are convenience stores and restaurants around the area too. They alowed us to check-in an hour early too as the front desk officer saw as waiting in the lobby. The staffs are accommodating to questions and requests. A microwave or an area to heat food is a nice addition to their facilities/amenities as there is no on-site restaurant. Cleanliness in the room can be improved as well, the bedside tables, lamps, phone, and other tabletops are dusty. We requested it to be cleaned to the front desk and the housekeeping staff, the dust lessened but still dusty in general. The room size is also bigger compared to other city areas for its price. Overall, this is a recommended hotel when in Hong Kong.

This hotel located in between Mong Kok and Prince Edward area and a shopping street and Mong Kok Flower Market. You also can find lots of local delights within few minutes walk. There is a famous Teochew Restaurant just next to hotel entrance. The location is strategic in Kowloon area where easy to access via MRT Prince Edward Station to Central or taking train from Mong Kok East station to Shenzhen via Lo Wu station. The hotel entrance is tiny beside Teochew Restaurant and share the lift some how. You need to go to 3rd floor to check in. The hotel is Art Deco design and well maintained. The room size consider big for HK's hotel especially when I pay for a relatively good price for a HK hotel with such conditions and convenient to explore Kowloon and other areas. I ordered twin beds and there combined together which is ok, the toilet is big enough with good water pressure and heater. Only setback is all they don't provide any disposable toiletries and even drinking water because of their govt's so call "environment fiendly" but not tourist friendly policy. Overall is a good hotel to recommend for convenience and explore old Kowloon's area.

Hotel 1936 in Prince Edward is a fantastic choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and value in the heart of Hong Kong. I was pleasantly surprised by the room size—much larger than your typical Hong Kong hotel room, which often feels quite cramped. There was ample space to move around, store luggage, and relax without feeling boxed in, which made a big difference during my stay. The hotel offers excellent CP value. For the price, you get a clean, well-maintained room with modern amenities and a touch of heritage charm. The building itself has a unique character, blending old Hong Kong architecture with contemporary interiors. The large windows in the room were a highlight—letting in lots of natural light and offering a sweeping view of the city skyline, especially beautiful at night. Location-wise, it’s hard to beat. The hotel is just a short walk from Prince Edward MTR Station, making it incredibly easy to get around the city. There are also plenty of local eateries and shops nearby, adding to the convenience. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the amenities are fairly basic—no gym or restaurant on-site—but for the price and comfort, it
