Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Statue Square is Christmas magic overload! Hong Kong WinterFest turned it into an epic Christmas Town with a huge 20-meter tree, fun toy props (spaceships, trains, mini train ride), Santa meet-and-greets, carolers, workshops, and a cute market with food and gifts. The nightly 3D light show on the skyscrapers (HSBC, Prince’s Building) is absolutely stunning with total photo heaven! Runs Nov 14, 2025 – Jan 4, 2026. Easy access: MTR Central Station, Exit K. Must-visit for holiday vibes in HK—already wanna go back!

One of the best Xmas decorations I have ever seen over the middle west area , full of Xmas ambiance and the lovely Xmas tree. There are some other small booth for the coming Xmas 2025 party.

I like the contrast of the old and new buildings here. Sundays are alive with Filipinos enjoying their day of rest. You'll see them having picnics, playing cards, dancing plus buying and selling various items.
