About Ma...and The Seeds of Life

MA was created to pay homage to the successive generations of talented cooks in Chef Barrat’s family, and to mother nature who protects, provides for and beautifies life. Rooted in the goodness of the earth and mankind, our dishes burst with gorgeous color, explode with raw flavor and energize with rich nutrients. Through meticulous efforts in every aspect of MA from its people to the ambience and food we hope to bring joy to each vegan plate. We have planted the seeds for the full expression of a flavoursome and plant-based culinary philosophy and we are confident to deliver exciting new experiences in a more caring world.

This is definitely the finest vegan restaurant I have been to in Hong Kong. The dishes are exquisitely presented and the staff couldn’t be more attentive. In terms of flavor, my favorite dishes have no doubt been he Jack-no-lamb and yuzu cake. Delicious!

Dining at Ma was such a beautiful experience! The food was tasty, flavorful and quite artistic. One of the best vegan restaurants in HK (Number 1 in my books). I don't remember the name of the dish, but I highly recommend the mushroom soup there. I'll tag the appropriate photo. We decided to try out about 3 of their desserts on the day. If I remember correctly, my partner liked the granadilla flavored cake; I liked the tiramisu better. Did not enjoy the pudding and I think the other was a carrot cake or something, not mt faves. Keep in mind, we all like different tastes so you might like something that I didn't enjoy. The service at the restaurant is great, the waitress made sure our glasses were never empty and was always happy to answer any questions we had. It's a great place to go for a quiet night with a partner or friend.

What a fantastic experience! My friend and I both had an amazing time we wanted to try everything and got two set menus plus one of the a la carte dishes I couldn't resist. Highlights include the roasted artichokes with lentils and the pizza. Everything was so beautifully presented and delicious! The decor was beautiful and the staff were attentive. All round fabulous and I look forward to coming back to try their desert menu.

Vegan fine dining! The cheese platter confused my palette with chestnuts and tofu, recommended to pick 3 types only or you will be quite full. I like the juicy and chewy king scallop (mushroom) and the Xavier dish. Great and cheerful service, good observations :)

1. VEGAN Afternoon tea: desserts taste good with high quality, personally think that it’s inexpensive. 2. cheese platter’s portion is not a lot but taste good also. 3. Comfortable dining area with friendly staffs who also gave us free boxes of masks. 4. Chef truly understand the use of plant based ingredients and create real VEGAN treats, would love to come back for the a la carte menu next time.
