Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

HK cart noodles in locally run style place. Cash only. Pig blood cubes were very tender. Soup was tasty but probably has some MSG. It is a place where you will eat and quickly go. You will need to share table if you come alone or as 2 persons. Okay if you treat it as a local dining experience.

Old-school Hong Kong comfort food done right. Came during peak hours and the place was packed — always a good sign. Ordered the braised beef noodles and the mix of ingredients, and everything was rich, hearty, and full of flavour. The beef was tender, the soup deep and savoury, and the portions were generous. The braised dishes on the side were excellent too — especially the wings and offal, properly braised and not overly salty. This is the kind of place you come for honest, no-frills food that hits the spot every time. Service is fast and efficient despite the crowd, and prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions. Definitely a must-visit if you’re craving classic HK-style noodles. Will happily come back again.

Back to Hong Kong Trip 2025🇭🇰 Yummy Hong Kong signature noodles 車仔麵, especially the soup. Although it’s a bit crowded, it’s fully air conditioned. Be prepared to wait, but it won’t take long. We were there on a weekday around 3pm, and we waited for about 10 mins to be seated. Ordered their 5 combination noodles, yummy😋I’ve never finished my noodles that fast😂interesting dining experience.

Got a recommendation to go to this hole in the wall place that is popular with the locals. First thing to note is they sit you wherever there is room so you may be at a table with strangers. Second, they don't speak English very well so it was hard to communicate and they in fact got part of my order wrong. Onto the food, the broth in the noodle soup was very good. Normally I am a big fan of tripe, in pho for example. I like the rubbery texture and how it soaks up the flavor of the broth. Theirs however seemed a bit different, kind of mushier, and I didn't like it as much. The wide egg noodles were bland and tasteless and didn't seem to soak the flavor of the broth at all. My wife was smart and took notice what the locals at our table had ordered. They got the vermicelli rice noodles, which did a much better job of soaking up the flavor from the broth. She also copied them in ordering the radish, which was delicious. The beef brisket was also very good. Her bowl was much, much better than mine. We also got the green veggie dish, not sure what the English name is. It was good and I felt the broth was even better than the noodles.

As a local, I often see many tourists lining up at this place. I tried it once a few years ago and found it average, so I didn't eat there again. Today, I suddenly felt like giving it another try. Since I was alone, I quickly got my order. The three side dishes with noodles are now sold for over $40, but the cost performance is really high. The soup base with rich gravy is very flavorful, and it's served piping hot. I ordered beef tripe, pig intestines, and beef tendons. The portions were generous, and they were prepared very cleanly. The beef tripe and pig intestines were tender and well-seasoned. If there aren't too many people lining up, I would definitely come back to eat again.
