Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Very pleased with the quality of food and the Teppanyaki chef's skills. Outstanding service with very attentive and friendly staff. Happy to support celebration such as offered to help with photo taking and provided a birthday sign with candle on the dessert cake later on. Would return!

All in 5 Star Service and food. Especially Ann made us feel really welcome. We had a great experience and even though we had made a mistake in our booking Ann didn’t rest till she made it all perfect for us. We will definitely be back when we are back in town.

One of the classic teppanyaki restaurants in Hong Kong, Matsubishi at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Wan Chai is well known for its traditional Japanese teppanyaki experience. Besides sushi and sashimi, the teppanyaki is definitely the highlight. Teppanyaki is available for both lunch and dinner, with lunch offering better value and therefore being the most popular time to visit. Reservations are recommended. The lunch menu features three set options, Matsu (Pine), Take (Bamboo), and Ume (Plum), with different grades of beef including Japanese wagyu, US Prime beef, and US beef. Seating is arranged around the teppanyaki counter, allowing diners to watch the chef cook each dish live on the hot iron griddle. The sizzling sounds and aromas of seafood, beef, and vegetables make the experience both entertaining and appetising. We ordered the Bamboo and Plum sets. While enjoying the salad, the chef prepared the seafood course: prawns, salmon and scallops. The scallops were perfectly cooked and tender, while the prawns were fresh, firm, and even more flavourful after grilling. Next came the beef, served in three styles: spring onion beef rolls, garlic beef slices, and beef fried
