Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Tsukiau is one of the many Japanese restaurants in Wanchai, Hong Kong. The izakaya stands out with its multiple promotional offers for customers who reserve their tables online, including complimentary Assorted Skewers Platter and Birthday Desserts. One can enjoy buy-1-get-1-free Suntory Draft Beer (HK$58/glass) throughout the meal, maximizing the happiness! Online reservation is straightforward. The restaurant is spacious and well-ventilated. Servers are helpful and accommodating. Digital ordering system is convenient and efficient. Although food quality is a bit inconsistent, there is nothing to complain about for the dinner with such high CP value (HK$380/person all-inclusive). Highlights of the birthday celebration include the juicy Pork Belly with Lychee Skewer (HK$32/skewer), the Tuna Chuutoro Sushi (HK$88/two pieces) which melts in your mouth, the crispy Japanese Deep Fried Tofu ($48), and the succulent Grilled Oysters (HK$58/pc). Try to avoid the rather bland Yellow Tail Sashimi (HK$48), the chewy Chicken Skin Skewer (HK$32/two skewers) and Thick Sliced Ox Tongue Skewer (HK$58/skewer).

Highly recommended this Japanese restaurant. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience that left me wanting to come back for more. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with traditional Japanese decor and soft lighting. The service was impeccable, with attentive waitstaff who were knowledgeable about the menu and happy to make recommendations. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and hot dishes to choose from. Everything was fresh and expertly prepared, and the flavors were simply exquisite. I can't wait to return and try more of their delectable offerings.

It was okay. Portion is big and food quality is acceptable, though not outstanding. The tempura flour is not the type I like.
