Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving.

A fantastic Hong Kong-style café that really captures the comforting, nostalgic flavours of a classic cha chaan teng, but with a thoughtful touch to the ingredients. The Japanese eggs they use are a standout — rich, creamy and beautifully cooked. The sandwich is another highlight: soft, fluffy and wonderfully rich, with that satisfying combination of textures that makes you want another bite almost immediately. But the real comfort-food winner for me was the oxtail macaroni soup. The broth is delicious, hearty and deeply satisfying, with tender oxtail adding plenty of flavour. It is exactly the kind of dish that feels simple yet incredibly comforting. Everything comes together with the casual atmosphere and familiar Hong Kong café charm. Good food, quality ingredients and plenty of nostalgic flavours — a place that feels both authentic and thoughtfully elevated. Definitely a tea-rific experience and one I’d happily come back to for more! 🍵🇭🇰

The scrambled egg sandwich is a must! The oxtail macaroni soup is good too! The drinks are not strong enough for my personal liking but the food is worth the wait.

I recently visited Right Tea-rific in Wan Chai for lunch. Be prepared to queue, as it is a popular spot. Regarding our meal, here are my thoughts based on the menu: Soy Sauce Fried Macaroni: The flavor profile was quite mild and, overall, lacked the depth we were hoping for. Ranou Egg Toast: We opted to add cheese to this. It was a decent dish, though not particularly memorable. Egg Tart: This was a clear standout and easily the best item we ordered during our visit. 72% Chocolate Drink: While the menu highlights this as an award-winning drink featuring floral notes, it simply wasn't to our personal taste. Overall, a decent experience, though some items were hit-or-miss. Will prefer the My Cup of Tea nearby

Recently visited a trendy, clean cha chaan teng in Wan Chai, and the whole experience felt really comfortable and modern. The soy sauce chicken wing was a highlight. The flavor was rich and savory. We also tried the thick porkchop sandwich toast. The portion was super hearty, and I loved how it stayed properly thick and toasty. Then came the big French toast with peanut butter inside. It was thick, golden, and stuffed with peanut butter that added a rich, creamy sweetness in every bite. The tomato macaroni with local beef tasted flavorful and comforting, and the local beef inside made it extra satisfying and hearty. What really impressed me was the serving temperature—it came really hot. Even after we left it there for about 10 minutes, it was still very hot. We also ordered an egg tart, and it delivered exactly what you want—crisp, fragrant pastry with a smooth, rich custard filling. Finally, the hot chocolate drink was perfect. It’s made from Columbia 72% chocolate, and I really liked that it wasn’t overly sweet. It had a deeper, more balanced chocolate taste, and it went amazingly well with the sweet French toast—not the kind of hot chocolate that’s too sugary to match.

I am impressed with the elevated taste of cha charn tang food with high quality ingredients. If your priority is price not taste, do not bother to try. Locals with taste bud know this is definitely not a tourist restaurant. Highly recommended!
