About 喜喜燒臘茶餐廳
喜喜燒臘茶餐廳 is a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Wan Chai, at 香港島灣仔盧押道11號. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Google shows it as open around the clock; any changes on public holidays or in severe weather are announced by the business itself. Phone: 2529 6616. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.
It has a Google rating of 3.2 out of 5 from 725 reviews, which is on the low side, so read the most recent reviews before you go.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

I ordered a 1 pax serving of char siew and roasted goose with a bowl of rice and the bill came up to HKD180. IMHO it’s kind of expensive but I may be out of touch with the price. I wouldn’t have mind much but they were mediocre.

Delicious vegetable fried rice, quick service, lots on the menu. Lots of locals there. Just what we needed after a big day of walking. Love the chilli crisp on the table.

Overall Experience: Hay Hay Kitchen (Luard Road) was easily one of the best cha chaan teng experiences during this Hong Kong trip. The restaurant offers a comfortable and clean dining environment, a surprisingly extensive menu, and service that stands out from the typical fast-paced Hong Kong cha chaan teng style. The atmosphere felt welcoming, making it a place worth returning to. Food: The roast meat selection was the highlight. The roast duck had crispy skin and tender meat, while the char siu was flavourful with a good balance of sweetness and smokiness. The roast pork was equally enjoyable with its crispy crackling. The noodle soup was light and comforting, and the Hong Kong milk tea was smooth and satisfying. Overall, the food quality was above average for a cha chaan teng, with a wide menu offering plenty of choices. Service: Service was excellent and noticeably better than what is commonly expected in Hong Kong cha chaan tengs. Staff were friendly, attentive, and efficient, creating a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. Cost: Prices were reasonable for the quality, portion sizes, and central Wan Chai location. Good value considering the quality of the roast

I happened to pass by this restaurant when I was starving and too tired to walk any further, and it turned out to be such a lovely find!😊 First off, the pricing is super transparent. Every item is clearly marked, and the bill is straightforward and easy to understand, right at your table. The staff were incredibly helpful when helping me pick my order. The food tasted amazing and was freshly served. I really enjoyed my meal, and the lemon tea was absolutely delightful too🥰 The overall service is warm and thoughtful. It’s such a great local spot, perfect for anyone who cares about clear pricing and genuine Hong Kong casual dining. Highly recommend!❤️✨

I think you gotta know what to pick here. I have not been very lucky. First time I had Fried Noodle w/ Beef & Spicy Vegetable and I wasn’t the biggest fan of the gravy and also the crispy noodles. Second time I got Satay Beef Noodle and that was better but still maybe next time (if I go) I’d go for more pricey dishes like roasted goose with rice. But I think the main pro is the 24/7 opening hours and good location.
