Attractions, ferries and rental services are busiest at weekends, on public holidays and in the school holidays, so book popular slots early. Hong Kong drives on the left, and visitors can generally drive on a valid overseas licence for up to 12 months; boat trips and ferries may be suspended in bad weather, so keep an eye on Hong Kong Observatory warnings. Buy tickets for popular attractions online to skip the queue; some close one day a week.
Google shows it as open around the clock; any changes on public holidays or in severe weather are announced by the business itself. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has.
It has a Google rating of 4.0 out of 5 from 69 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.
Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

There’s renovation of the stairs. It’s not completed yet, but looks not so unique as an old one. Sadly (

The Spiral Staircase in Hong Kong is a modest yet captivating spot for photography enthusiasts. Located in the heart of the city, this architectural feature offers a unique visual appeal with its elegant curves and design. While the staircase itself is not extensive, its aesthetic makes it a popular backdrop for social media posts and photography. Visitors often appreciate the contrast it provides against the urban landscape, making it a noteworthy stop for those exploring the city’s architectural highlights. However, it’s important to note that the staircase is a standalone feature, and the surrounding area may not offer additional attractions. Therefore, it is best visited as part of a broader itinerary when exploring nearby points of interest. In summary, the Spiral Staircase is a charming, albeit small, destination that offers a distinctive photo opportunity for visitors seeking to capture Hong Kong’s architectural diversity.

Don't be mistaken for the Victoria Prison spiral staircase. This point of interest is very very misleading. V inconvenient to get to. Nothing to see here.

Got a bit dizzy, but worth every step!
