Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

For more than ten years I had dreamed of the Fish Cutlet Bread (魚柳包) of my youth in Hong Kong. This week I happened to pass by and bought two - one for a snack and one for nostalgia. Fish cutlet and sauce were right there as per my memories. Tasty! The price was not. $14.50 HKD, really? To put insult to injury, somehow the bread part of it was even worse than it was in the mid 2000s (even as a kid I knew the bread itself was very mediocre). Somewhat softer than back then (which was quite firm), but in a manner which made it not quite bread-like, a little reminiscent of cake/self-raising flour. Two stars for bread. Add one star for nostalgic value.
