About 雲殿
Located in the heart of Central, Kumoden is a Japanese restaurant offering traditional omakase for our customers with seasonal ingredients freshly imported directly from Japan.
雲殿, a Japanese or Korean restaurant in Central, Central and Western, is at 2/F, 152號 Queen's Road Central, Central, Hong Kong Island. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Popular Japanese and Korean restaurants often take online bookings or queue tickets, and omakase counters usually ask for a deposit.
Opening hours: Mon–Sat 12:00–15:00 and 18:30–22:30, Sun closed. It is open 6 days a week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2116 1331. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, inline.app.
Customers give it an average of 4.8 out of 5 on Google (47 reviews), a high score by any measure.
Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Tried the 1880 dinner omakase menu with good combination of sashimi, cooked food and sushi . The house plum wine is also nice (better and less sweet than the other bottle one). Chef is very friendly to explain the dishes and waitress are offering good services too

Amazing experience during lunch. The business lunch set had a great variety of sashimi, sushi, hot dishes, and soup. Very good service.

I came here for a lunch omakase on a friend’s recommendation, and it was genuinely good value and tasty. Compared with other Japanese restaurants in the same area, the lunch pricing is very reasonable. The chef was very attentive to the seasoning of each type of fish and was also friendly and happy to share his knowledge, making the whole lunch experience both enjoyable and educational. I chose the $680 lunch set, which included 12 pieces of sushi, along with chawanmushi, salad, miso soup, a small noodle dish, and dessert. The sushi was made with red vinegar rice, with well-balanced portions and texture, and it didn’t feel heavy or overly filling by the end of the meal.

An outstanding omakase experience. We were treated to an amazing omakase by head sushi chef Eddyi Leung. Each dish was meticulously prepared with the most premium ingredients. A lot of care and thought has been put through the entire experience. The staff were all amazingly hospitable. One of the highlight meals of my stay in Hong Kong. P.S. don’t by shy to buy Eddyi a beer, he deserves it!

One of the most memorable dining experiences is witnessing the chef craft your meal, entrusting the sushi chef with your unique culinary adventure. Omakase presents a chef-curated dinner highlighted by direct interactions with the chef, fostering an interactive performance infused with personal stories and expert suggestions. Best quality in food as well as the services. Thank you!
