Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Very expensive for what you get. The portions were small, the food was average at best, and nothing really stood out. Given the prices, I expected much better quality and flavor. The atmosphere is nice, but overall the dining experience was disappointing and not worth the cost.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing, both in terms of food quality and service. Starting with the food, the overall standard was merely average. The menu largely consists of common Japanese dishes such as tempura, noodles, and rice dishes, none of which offer particularly strong value or a compelling reason to revisit. Unfortunately, the cooking execution was also mediocre. Higher-value items such as sashimi and oysters were acceptable but unremarkable, lacking the freshness and flavor one would expect at this price point. The sushi was somewhat better, but not enough to elevate the overall dining experience. The service was the biggest issue and turned what could have been an ordinary meal into a genuinely unpleasant experience. Firstly, many of the staff appeared more interested in talking among themselves than attending to customers. It was not uncommon to see waiters engaged in their own conversations while guests were trying to get assistance. Secondly, despite having a large number of staff on the floor, it was surprisingly difficult to identify who was actually willing or authorized to serve customers. I was seated next to the wine ice buckets, where a sta

Small bites of food, great for a small group of friends or a business meeting. For me, I would expect such small bites of food to pack a punch of flavour, so whilst the food was good, it wasn’t quite to the level I expected. The pork belly for me had the most flavour, the chicken sausages paired with egg had great texture, and everything else was just… good. The environment was great, also suits the small group dynamic.

The food was amazing, very fresh and tasty seafood. But I have to say, the service was the best I’ve ever seen. Our server, Lulu, was incredibly attentive and constantly trying to make sure that we had a good experience. She gave excellent recommendations for drinks, was attentive and also very sociable which made the whole experience very enjoyable. Would highly recommend it!

What an amazing restaurant. The food was just excellent from starter to desserts, we ate the lot. I had the Japanese Whiskey sour cocktail and it went down a treat. The Service at Zuma was friendly, professional and attentive. Well done to all staff. The open kitchen in the restaurant was really well set out. You can see how the food was made, and it did not interfere with your enjoyment while eating. My overall experience was the best and will definitely be back. Thank you for an experience I won't forget and look forward to be back very soon.
