About 鍾菜館
鍾菜館 is listed under Cantonese & Dim Sum in Wan Chai. The address is 2/F, CNT Tower, 338 Hennessy Rd, Wan Chai, Hong Kong Island. Below you will find what people usually look up before a visit: the exact location, contact details, opening hours and the Google rating. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 11:30–16:00 and 18:00–23:00, Sat–Sun 10:00–16:00 and 18:00–23:00. It opens every day of the week. There is a break between the lunch and dinner sessions. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 8300 8043; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.
At 3.8 out of 5 on Google (73 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving.

This is Cantonese restaurant. The food was pretty standard, nothing to write home about. The seating situation was also just okay, nothing fancy or particularly comfortable. Service was par for the course, neither great nor terrible, just… there. Honestly, the only real standout feature was the price. It was definitely affordable, which is always a plus. If you're looking for a budget-friendly bite, it might hit the spot. Just don't expect any culinary fireworks or a luxurious dining experience.

One of the most comfortable public restaurants around. They had special deals on and some very reasonable prices on dim sum and some signature dishes. Business was great so the service level came down.. otherwise would be 5 star. $500/person for private room
