About 八公館

八公館-「八公館」銳意將新、舊、粵菜及地方菜式融會貫通,呈現於五感之上,菜式以色、香、味加上創新配搭為主,與時並進之餘亦不忘秉承傳統粵菜精神,將廣東菜發揚光大。

八公館 is listed under Cantonese & Dim Sum in Central, Central and Western. The address is 中環域多利皇后街5-8號鴻基大廈地下至3樓, Central, Hong Kong Island. Below you will find what people usually look up before a visit: the exact location, contact details, opening hours and the Google rating. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 07:00–22:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2526 3163; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. More information is on its website, restaurantshk.com.

At 3.7 out of 5 on Google (453 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Had a really enjoyable experience at Queen Victoria 8 Restaurant! I’ve tried several of their dim sum dishes, the liu sha bao, and the yang zhi gan lu, and everything was fresh, well-made, and delicious. The dim sum was nicely steamed with great flavours, and the liu sha bao had a rich, creamy salted egg yolk filling that was absolutely satisfying. The yang zhi gan lu was the perfect way to finish the meal—refreshing, fruity, and not overly sweet. The service was friendly, and the restaurant had a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a great spot for authentic Cantonese food, and I’ll be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a delightful dining experience, this hot pot restaurant truly delivers! Fresh Ingredients The selection of ingredients is commendable. The **crispy napa cabbage** and thinly sliced pork are both fresh and flavorful. The cabbage retains a nice crunch, adding a refreshing element to the rich broth. Seafood Extravaganza The seafood platter stands out with its impressive presentation. From succulent prawns to a variety of shellfish, everything is served on a bed of ice, highlighting its freshness. The Hot Pot The hot pot comes to life as the broth simmers, bubbling with a richness that enhances the flavors of the meats and vegetables. The fragrant broth is perfect for dipping the fresh ingredients, allowing each bite to be savory and satisfying. Overall Experience The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, making it a perfect spot for gatherings. If you love hot pot, this restaurant is a must-try. The combination of fresh ingredients, flavorful broth, and overall quality makes each meal a delightful adventure. Highly recommended!

Came for Sunday lunch and enjoyed the food. Setup is very Chinese restaurant style. The fried noodles were delicious. Food was well presented. Location conveniently located next to Central Market.

First time there. Started with spicy cucumber as appetitizer which is very nicely seasoned but not too spicy, and the deep fried squid and deep fried tofu are very fresh but crispy on the outside. Then we have lobsters, they are very very fresh and cooked really well in timing. After that we have the fried milk with scallop, this is the only dish that I have a little bit reservation. It's nicely made but the big bunch of fried milk is just too filing. The pan fried fish is nice, especially with the sauce. The veggie is fresh and of large portion. The fried rice with dried scallop is dry enough and very delicious. Finally the dessert is also above par. The service is very good and the atmosphere is fine as well. It is so pity we don't see many patrons. Maybe too many people go up? I'm not sure but it is sad to see a nice restaurant with so many empty tables on a Friday night.
