We visited Cookies Quartet to get their famous flavored palmiers. While the store environment was pleasant and the staff was generous with samples, the actual palmiers was disappointing. The texture is too tough and lack the delicate crunch, and the palmiers are more sugary than flavourful. They are unique, but not enough to warrant the 2-3 times price hike over othe reputable bakeries.

Quite disappointed with their services. The female staff with the ponytail and side bang quite rude and kept giving annoyed looks. The cookies taste normal and a bit overrated.

This is a local butter cookie specialist that has a handful of branches around the city. This particular branch is just off Carnarvon Street and is open from 10am to 10pm daily. Cookies Quartet also sell palmiers and a few other cookie type snacks. Everything can be purchased in nicely prepared bags or larger tin boxes with a variety of assorted cookies. They are packaged very nicely for travel so you can consume them in HK or back home after your holiday. I recently passed by this Cookies Quartet and purchased bags of their pistachio and coffee & walnut cookies which were both expectedly very good. I've enjoyed their butter cookies on their own or with a cup of strong coffee or tea for many years. It it a good local snack food to try while visiting Hong Kong.
