When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 11:00–22:00, Sat–Sun 07:00–22:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2622 6161; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. Its website is royalplaza.com.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

At 4.1 out of 5 on Google (494 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Very good dim sum and generous portions. Roast pigeon and fried rice were the stars of the day.

Di King Heen consistently delivers excellent dim sum with top-notch quality. The food is flavorful and well-crafted, making every visit a delight. My absolute favorites? The 黃金糖醋面(雙面黃) Fried Noodles with Sour Sauce and Sugar—perfectly crispy with a balance of sweet and tangy flavors—and the special cheese and shrimp spring roll, a deliciously rich and crispy treat! Highly recommended for a satisfying dim sum experience! 🥢✨

Food was generally average or above, I enjoyed that their dishes wasn’t overly seasoned and salty. However what could have improved was their service, since it was father’s day a deposit was required which was understandable however for a party of 4 they wanted a deposit of $2000 which I thought was a bit outrageous! Secondly the father’s day a-la-carte menu they charge per dish compare to what they normally charge. For example roost goose was normally $428 but that night they charged $468. Lastly they kept whatsapping chasing me if I’ve paid yet (even when I did) and they insisted I preordered the dishes in advance which I refused since we wanted to choose day of what we felt like. Overall I felt the communication/arrangement with them pre-arrival was quite a terrible experience to be frank for a hotel restaurant

At the end of the day, this is a restaurant sitting inside a hotel which is not and would be too bad. All dishes are cooked well and seasoning in balance. Ingredients were carefully picked and not in the extreme deluxe side which is good as prices are still reasonable. The grouper fish was the best one and must try with a chunky piece and well seasoned overall. Could taste the freshness of the fish, solid and meaty. Expect more on the fried chicken on crispiness. Overall, It doesn’t really give u a wow dish but feel it is a comfortable place to eat and taste food. A good place for a good chat and food. Not too overcrowded and service is attentive. Clean and spacious.
