Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

A cool place for dinner or supper. The vinegar lemon soda is tasty. The steamed rice rolls are soft and blends well with the sauce. It melts in your mouth. The glutinous rice is soft and not hard. The congee is tasty. My first time visiting this place in HongKong.

Hay Wong is a dim sum spot right in the middle of the market, and it turned out to be a great surprise. I wasn’t expecting much at first, but the food really delivered, everything had great flavor and tasted fresh. Simple, local, and very satisfying. Definitely a place I would come back to.

Quite a local place for dim sum, fortunately the place is very english friendly so we got no problem communicating. Shrimp was super good! Much better than other places. The others were so so. Generally a good place for taste, we still prefer dds and ods though.

We stumbled upon Hay Wong for a late-night dinner, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere feels authentically local, with people casually enjoying their meals and old movie posters decorating the walls. Ordering is simple—just scan the QR code menu and add items to your cart. Service was fast and efficient. Now, the food: the dumplings were outstanding—juicy, generously filled with meat, perfectly steamed, and bursting with flavor. I highly, highly recommend this dim sum spot!
