About 頤東酒家 Eton Restaurant

頤東酒家 Eton Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant located on European Asian Bank Building, 1/F & 2/F, Nathan Rd, Mong Kok, Hong Kong. Eton Restaurant is known for its traditional Shunde (順德) dishes. Even though many of the Shunde dishes are "hand-made" dishes as it requires substantial knife work and handwork, we insist on bringing it to the community as we want customers to savor the real taste of Shunde.

頤東酒家 Eton Restaurant is a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Mong Kok, Yau Tsim Mong, at 1/F & 2/F, 歐亞銀行大廈 Nathan Rd, Mong Kok, Kowloon. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.

Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:00–16:00 and 18:00–22:00. It opens every day of the week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2381 5261; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

It has a Google rating of 3.8 out of 5 from 618 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.

It’s getting harder to find handmade dim sum in Hong Kong, and this is one of the few places still doing it properly. Located just a few minutes from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station, it’s also Michelin-recommended. Don’t come here expecting trendy dim sum. This is where you’ll find the flavours and craftsmanship that made Hong Kong’s yum cha culture famous. From the traditional décor to the handmade dim sum, it feels like stepping back into Hong Kong’s golden years. The real reason to visit isn’t just the food—it’s the chance to experience a style of yum cha that’s becoming harder to find.

Instant favorite. Really generous portions and friendly staff. As I walked into the restaurant, a woman catching the same elevator said “first time? This is the best,” and I have to agree. Very great!!

Great restaurant for some absolute classics. Really good quality food and the service is attentive, a little over the top at times but very friendly. - The best dish was the 3 meat selection: went for suckling pig, fatty bbq pork & lean bbq pork. The fatty bbq pork was just standout excellence. - The aubergine claypot was really good, often overcooked in other places but it still had great bite. - The fried rice was quite average, a bit too wet. - The lotus root cakes were really good, slightly dry but that was being picky. - Vegetable dishes were all very standard.
