Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

An absolute masterclass in classic Cantonese cuisine! We had an incredible dining experience here. The standout of the night was definitely the whole roasted suckling pig. The skin was extraordinarily crispy, shattered perfectly with every bite, and was served alongside the traditional sweet hoisin dipping sauce and sugar. We also enjoyed a plate of beautifully prepared chilled jellyfish noodles, which had the perfect crunchy, snappy texture and a light, refreshing seasoning. The braised bird’s nest soup was incredibly comforting, rich, and deeply flavorful. Every dish showcased exceptional technique and the highest quality ingredients. The dining room feels upscale, traditional, and comfortable with great service to match. It's definitely a must-visit in Hong Kong for high-end, authentic Cantonese dining. Highly recommended!

Delightful Seafood and Poultry in a Classic Setting The Menu: • Sautéed Garoupa (East Star Spotted Grouper) • Sautéed Lobster with Black Bean Sauce • Sautéed Water Spinach with Garlic • Shark's Fin Soup • Crispy Chicken (Zha Zi Ji) The fish, lobster, vegetables, and chicken were all delicious, showcasing high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. However, the Shark's Fin Soup has room for improvement. The service was attentive and polite throughout the meal. Despite recent criticisms regarding a decline in quality, I was personally satisfied with the experience. While it is certainly not cheap—and the dishes I ordered were among the more expensive options—the overall quality was commendable.

Everything about the experience was impressive—the food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, the service was attentive and professional, and the atmosphere created a warm and enjoyable dining environment. It’s the kind of place where all the elements come together seamlessly to make you feel well taken care of. The only slight drawback is that the pricing leans toward the higher side, which might make it more suitable for special occasions rather than everyday dining.

I have some respect this restaurant because of its heritage. Came here with expectations but found only the roast pigeon was amazing. The dishes had some traces of ‘Old HK’ flavors, although culinary skills did not stand out. The restaurant seems a little faded and past its glory. Hope it can keep out with the times whilst preserving the authentic taste.

Without a doubt one of the top places for traditional dim sums. Their crispy pork is a must try. The steamed rice rolls were thin and translucent. The barbecue pork pastries were flaky and crumbly with a perfectly seasoned filling. Pawn dumplings were plump and springy. Pan-fried egg noodles were nicely done but inevitably became soggy soon after being served. Rather average mini egg tarts. Great service and friendly staff.
