Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

I visited during restaurant week and tried the kaiseki menu 🍽️. The restaurant was quite empty, and the food arrived quickly since it was pre-ordered. 💨 Overall, I found the dishes lacked seasoning. The black truffle on the fish dish didn't add flavor or aroma 🍄. The menu was a bit underwhelming. I've heard their sushi lunch menus offer better value. 🍣

To mark the Mid-Autumn Festival 🌝, my colleagues and I indulged in an exquisite lunch. The centerpiece, the A5 Wagyu Uni Donburi, featured wagyu of exceptional quality, beautifully marbled and supremely flavorful. An additional course of shrimp tartare proved to be a delightful and refined complement. The experience concluded with a delightful surprise: the set dessert was a wonderfully crafted pistachio ice cream, a truly yummy and sophisticated end to our celebratory meal. This was third time to this restaurant and tried to omakase. The foods are very high quality. 👍🏻

We sat at the sushi bar counter on the far left, which was rather quiet. My friend and I both ordered the seafood don for lunch. The appetiser was not very appealing and lacked flavour. The seafood don was good, featuring a variety of different types of sashimi. The waiter kept scratching his head, which made us worry about hygiene issues.

They just re-open after renovation, they now have more sushi bar table seats because their main focus now is Omakase, Lunch Omakase is $688, and Dinner Omakase is $1288 (currently member pricing $588/988). Food and service are great here, and cp ratio is high. Definitely recommend to try here

It's my first ever Omakase experience and I didn't know what to expect. The head chef guided us through the culinary journey with his masterful skills and gentle attitude. The menu was well thought-out with our every taste bud stimulated. I just wish time could pause every time I put a different piece of food in my mouth. It's definitely quite pricey but I think it's worth trying for a special occasion.
