I love this hotel. We’ve returned this more than twice and so happy to bring my birthday father (80th birthday) to come and stay here. The room is spacious with the harbour view. Complete amenities. Fast spacious lift. The fellows were professional and sincerely warm. We enjoyed the wide varieties of breakfast. We had Mr Thomas Biju to pamper us with the house speacialy. Miss Grace in the lounge and her fellows also made our lounge time relax! We felt like coming to a second home away home!

The hotel is old. Many things did not work properly like the key cards or the coffee machine. They had to change my room because of a leakage from the upper floor. In that one, the sink did not drain properly. But the staff is amazing, and they made up for the condition the hotel is in. Every one of them, from the help desk to the cleaners and the waiters, they were all amazing. So helpful, even without waiting for you to request something.

It is one of the less luxury hotels among the continental hotels in the world. Grand lobby, but rooms are a bit outdated and without ISB charging. Sometimes the drainage maybe a problem. But given its price, it is not a bad deal. Service is excellent as a five star standard. View in Seaview room is phenomenal. The complimentary happy hour at the club lounge for members is very well presented with free wine and drinks and Hors d’oeuvres.

We had an excellent stay in Hong Kong. The Grand Stamford has a lovely classic feel with larger more comfortable rooms than you get with more modern hotels in Hong Kong. The welcome we received from all hotel staff was exceptional especially in the Club. Our room was well appointed and we were lucky to benefit from a suite upgrade which was very much appreciated. We dined at the hotel’s Mistral restaurant which serves authentic Italian food to a very high standard, service as elsewhere in the hotel, was attentive and relaxed. We would certainly return on our next trip.
