Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 07:00–22:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2544 3466; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

19/06/2026 The food was very good, and the staff were very friendly and nice. They worked fast and served the food quickly. Even though I can’t speak Cantonese, they tried to communicate with me, which was very kind. The chicken and rice were so good! I have never eaten anything that tasted like this before👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😊 Thank you, really enjoy it :)

This wasn’t my first time eating at Wah Fung. I already knew the staff attitude had always been poor — poker faces most of the time. Still, if I’m in Central outside of peak lunch hours, I would occasionally drop by because the food quality is acceptable. The roast meats taste fine, and I do like their soup. I’ve eaten here many times and usually place my order immediately since I know exactly what I want. My interaction with the waitstaff is minimal, so their bad attitude generally doesn’t affect me much. But today really crossed the line. After finishing the BBQ pork and chicken lunch set, which included a bowl of vermicelli, a separate plate of roast meats, and a small bowl of soup, I was still seated and drinking the soup that came with the set. While I was clearly still eating, a tall, skinny older male staff member wearing glasses suddenly rushed over and began clearing the table. He removed the empty plate and vermicelli bowl, took away a cup of water I had asked for at the beginning, and removed the chopsticks - all while I was still drinking the soup. I smiled awkwardly and politely asked, “Is it really necessary to clear the table so quickly when I’m still drinking the

One of the long established barbecue meat eateries in Central District. The quality of food was satisfactory. Service was good and plastic box was used for takeaway except rice with barbecue meat. The place was quite large. Other food were also available, such as steamed fish. Fried sticky rice was above average but only offered during winter. The soup was tasty. They also sold Chinese sausages. Price was reasonable.
