About 家全七福酒家

家全七福酒家, a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Wan Chai, is at 香港島灣仔駱克道57-73號. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.

Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 11:30–15:00 and 18:00–22:00. It is open seven days a week. There is a break between the lunch and dinner sessions. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2892 2888; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. Its website is seventhson.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (454 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

The whole roasted suckling pig served at Seventh Son Restaurant in Wan Chai is a masterpiece. I still vividly remember the extraordinary experience of taking that first bite. The skin is ultra-crispy, paper-thin, and perfectly rendered without being heavy or greasy. The meat is succulent, incredibly juicy, and tender. We shared it among six of us, which was luxurious, but it could easily satisfy up to eight diners. Meanwhile, a rustic homestyle dish like the Mei Cai Kou Rou (pork belly with preserved mustard greens) completely caught us off guard. The layers of pork belly are slow-braised to a melt-in-your-mouth texture. The chef managed to retain a deep, rich flavour without making the dish overly oily or excessively salty. The accompanying mei cai is the true star of the dish, beautifully soaking up all the savoury pork juices. 💡 INSIDER TIP Reserve the legendary roasted suckling pig at least 24 hours in advance!

Suckling pig is a MUST try. Great service and even better food. For any dim sum lover, you need to come here.

Seventh Son serves some of the best suckling pig I’ve ever eaten. The skin is incredibly crispy and perfectly prepared, though it’s a dish you definitely need to reserve in advance. Since we were only a group of four, we couldn't explore as much of the menu as I would have liked. I’ll certainly be returning with a larger group next time to try more of their signature dishes.

Seventh Son is an upscale Cantonese restaurant that serves your typical Hong Kong dishes but more on the premium end. Their specialty of Suckling Pig needs to be ordered in advance and comes only in the whole size. Back then, you’d need to make a reservation a few days in advance as the place would be packed despite the high prices (probably due to their Michelin Star) but in our last visit, there was plenty of empty seats. Though we did enjoy the food and the service is still as good as before, we find that it no longer holds the same allure as it once did.

Wish I could have taken more photos of every single dish. Much of what we had were really good here. Really liked the roast pork skin. You ate it like Peking Duck and that was just amazing. Again, could say the same for many of the other dishes too. Also, this restaurant has baby seats which were super helpful. There’s also a diaper changing area in the disabled toilet (not the best but at least it’s available). All in all, pretty good for families.
