the rare kind, warm, and friendly hong kong food service worker can be found here, in happy bakery. i opted for the taro mochi egg tart. it was the softest and crumbliest pastry ever — no matter how gentle i held it, it began falling apart the second i picked it up. it was a buttery doughy pie-like crust with a jiggly custard and cold, slightly chewy globs of mochi in the center. the custard was not very sweet at all, but instead had a strong milky egginess , and the taro flavour was not really noticeable at all. it was really more of a textural experience rather than a flavour one.

Hands down my favorite pineapple bun with butter in all of Hong Kong! It smells incredible the second you walk up, with a super crispy, golden top and soft, fluffy bread inside. The cold slab of butter melts perfectly against the warm bun for that ultimate rich, smooth flavor. Absolutely delicious—a total must-try!

Chanced upon the bakery and was a bit hesitant due to the reviews about the poor service. However the lady who served us had been really nice/friendly and the egg tart was really delicious! We managed to get it while it’s warm and the crust was buttery and the filling had been soft and was a melt-in-mouth experience. Do give it a try if you’re in the vicinity (:

I love their 老婆饼. It has a thin layer of pastry which is nice and flaky, and loads of fillings in it. There’s also chunky bits which gives a nice crunch. (Minimum 5pcs for a box.) This is my fav now! Will be back when I visit HKG!

Lovely bakery in wan chai. Pineapple bun, egg tart and sausage bread were all good! The staff is also sweet :) You can pay with card!
