BAKERY BY THE GRAND, a bakery in Wan Chai, is at 香港島灣仔皇后大道東183號合和商場3樓332號舖. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.
When choosing a café or dessert shop, look at whether prices are shown, whether plant milks or less-sweet options are available, and whether there is a time limit on seats. Many open seven days a week, but some small shops take a weekly day off; for cakes or large orders of pastries, calling ahead is the safest bet. Bakeries usually bake fresh in the morning and late afternoon, and popular items can sell out early.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 08:00–21:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2525 0018. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, thegrandhk.com.
At 4.1 out of 5 on Google (126 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Bakery by The Grand at Hopewell Centre is a lovely spot to chill, unwind, and enjoy a relaxed meal in Hong Kong. We tried the Full Grand, Beef Wellington, and a few other items - and everything was nicely executed. The food was satisfying without being too heavy, with a thoughtful presentation. The Beef Wellington was a highlight, and overall the menu strikes a nice balance between comfort and refinement. Service was also a big plus. The staff were patient, polite, and attentive throughout, which made the experience even more enjoyable. A pleasant, easygoing place to relax over good food - price is a tad on the higher end, but definitely worth a visit.

Food overall is not bad. Is nice that you can order half a portion of salad, however their salad veggies is not very fresh, it was a bit soggy. The beef and beet roots in the salad tasted pretty good. The pigeon Wellington was not bad, mostly crispy on the outside crust and tender in the side with pigeon meat, however it will be even better if they can provide a better knife to cut the Wellington so it doesn’t fall apart. The presentation of the food here is quite appealing. Service wise staff are polite. Atmosphere wise is comfortable enough for a gathering.

Order 2 pastries and 2 drinks at late afternoon, waited for 20 mins for the egg tart and Danish to come, not even warm and the drinks waited even more than 30 mins. Chased the waiters for 2 times and no feedback and have to check the 3rd, give you cold coffee while you ordered hot, waited again for a right one. Pastries was fair and service is poor.

Bakery at the Grand is located on the ground floor of the newly opened Hopewell Mall in Wanchai. This is a bakery, cafe and coffee shop with a fairly large indoor seating area. You can do take-away from the bakery counter as well. Menu is a fairly extensive range of western bakery morning and all day dishes along along with a expected range of coffee, non-coffee and other drink options. Opening times are 8am to 9.30pm daily. Had breakfast at Bakery at the Grand recently. Tried their scrambled eggs with mushrooms on sour dough as well as the avocado with poached egg and arugula. Both breakfasts looked nice and tasted fair. You can definitely do better in this area of Wanchai but both dishes were decent. Coffee served was just ok, hot chocolate was pretty good. Seating is casual and family friendly. Oh the whole, Bakery at the Grand seems a fine option for those staying at Hopewell Hotel seeking a place to grab a bite to eat just downstairs. Otherwise, this is a great area of the city for dining out and there are some wonderful bakeries with seating within a few minutes walk from here that are worth consideration as well.

Bakery By The Grand in Hong Kong is known for its graceful interiors and beautifully presented pastries. Highlights include a perfect-textured cha siu croissant with fusion flavors, a flakey sourdough egg tart, and a rich sesame cheesecake. The ham & cheese croissant and sausage roll are also praised for generous fillings and flakiness. The café offers quality coffee and a cozy atmosphere with friendly service, making it ideal for both eat-in and takeaway. It’s especially appreciated for its desserts and light meals, suitable for families and casual visits.
