Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Good solid dim sum restaurant. 2 stories on 3rd and 4th floors. Always crowded so food is fresh. Sometimes you’ll have to share tables. Most food is good but not great, and the only thing we really like is the house special dessert coconut tofu. Very unique item not available anywhere else. Service is excellent even when it’s crazy crowded.

Visited with a group of friends on Sunday, after 1.30pm. Selections wasn’t much, but we are still able to get those popular items from stationary push cart/station. Bird nest coconut milk pudding was the most delicious, we were lucky to get before the last batch sold out, definitely worth to return just for the bird nest coconut. Home-ground vibe after 3pm, you will start to see people/customers drinking Chinese tea, have some dim sum, read newspaper and play mahjong🀄️🀄️🀄️….PONG(碰)!! ….HU(胡)!!! 😆 Pricing lean towards expensive ~

Very welcoming and helpful staff who are attentive to children. You can get your food from the trolleys or at the counter where you can point to the dish that you want to purchase. Food is delicious and love the very local feel and ambience. Accepts credit cards as well as AliPay, WeChatPay and Octopus.

London Chinese Restaurant is one of the few remaining places where you can experience the traditional dim sum trolley service. This is a massive, old-school banquet hall that captures the bustling energy of classic Hong Kong yum cha. The Experience: You can pick your food directly from steaming carts pushed around by staff. Atmosphere: It is loud, busy, and "daai jau lau" style (traditional banquet hall), providing a very authentic local vibe.
