The Mira Hong Kong is the embodiment of a hotel gunning for the Luxury space and price tag without the service and quality. Branding itself as a 5-Star hotel, the experience did not deliver on all aspects of check-in, room experience, housekeeping and check-out. The hotel feels like a premium facade draped over a dated, money-seeking establishment that just happened to sit on a good plot of land. Check-in was standard, and when asked for the availability of a room upgrade or late checkout as part of Marriott’s Elite programme, the receptionist mentioned that she was unable to provide either, as “we only have a partnership with Marriott”, which goes against the benefits posted on Marriott's website. The room is old, with barely any space for hangars, the bluetooth and chromecast functions in the room did not work, and drawers were falling apart. What irked me most was the obvious cash-grab opportunities, like the 3 separate cards found in the room for minibar, amenities and even asking guests to purchase their bathrobes. Check-out was once again standard, but when I handed over my room card to the Concierge, I was redirected to the “express check-out box” to drop the keys. There

I had a wonderful stay at the The Mira Hong Kong. Booking a Club Room was definitely worth it, especially with access to the Club Lounge on the 15th floor. The lounge quickly became one of my favorite places in the hotel. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, soft drinks, and light snacks in a quiet and comfortable setting. In the evening, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the lounge offers an excellent selection of wine, beer, cocktails, and delicious finger foods—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Hong Kong. The relaxed atmosphere and attentive service made the experience feel truly special. Club Lounge access is one of the standout benefits offered with Club-level rooms. Mark and company, who takes charge of the Club Lounge is a great host. The hotel's location in Tsim Sha Tsui is another major advantage. It's within walking distance of shopping malls, restaurants, the MTR, and many of Hong Kong's top attractions, making it an ideal base for both sightseeing and business.
