Disappointing baked goods! Almond croissant - sliced open with no filling? 🥐 Brioche bun with salt - super light. Salt made it! 🥖 Pineapple danish - incredibly dry and disappointing. 🍍 Salted caramel nut tart - it was a crumbly tart crust with a perfectly salted caramel and mixed nuts. 🌰 🥜 Service wasn’t good nor bad.

Had the Truffle Shin Pan, Mocha Brioche and Chestnut Bun and all were disappointing and everything was fairly expensive. The sea salt brioche is good but the more interesting looking stuff tastes worse than it looked. Still a very nice place but wouldn’t recommend the 3 items mentioned above considering the price

Travel Cafe Eat Drink - Malaysia & Asia Pastries and bread are freshly bakes here in Big Grains, Wan Chai, Hong Kong and prices are reasonable too. Lots of varieties to choose from the display and you get to eat-in too

Varieties choices, fresh and reasonable price, and not mini size bread The paper bag package are with good quality, and with the reheat instructions on it, which is a hearty design than most if the bakery in HK

Big Grains is a local bakery with a few branches around the city including this place along Tai Wo Street in Wanchai. Opening hours are 8am to 8pm daily. They have a small standing area next to the window. Otherwise, this is a typical take-away style bakery. There is a small park across the street if looking for a place nearby. Big Grains has a range of traditional bread items along with quite a few creative breads, tarts, dessert concoctions that make them more interesting then your everyday bakery here in Hong Kong. Prices are fair, service fast and breads taste just fine. Expect the shop to be fairly busy as they are a popular choice with locals because of their unique variety of items.
