considering this was a recommendation from a friend of ours, we had quite big expectations, especially the food. they started off quite strong with the 3 appetisers which we quite enjoyed, followed with the (unlimited) soup, pasta, fries and we got the signature cuts. the food was fine. we loved the pasta and the cuts were good. we initially thought the staff were nice and friendly until they had quite a rude tone towards us. at first, there were definitely not a lot of space on the table but instead of saying "please move your phone" or "do you mind moving your phone", they said it in such a rude tone that pretty much set the tone for the staff, in my opinion. then, when our cuts came, the first cut wasn't even included. there was no apology from their behalf. it was just an awkward shrug and oh they didn't include the cuts. usually when we have birthday celebrations in restaurants, we usually give a signal when we're ready for the cake - it's part of the surprise for the celebrant. we've done this in many restaurants and not once did any disappoint until this time. out of nowhere (mind you with our main course still on the table), someone came at our table and asked "happy bi

All you can eat steak is a popular thing now and I tried it at The Grill Room. There are three selection, wagyu, grain fed and steak. I think the steak is the best. For lunch, $98 for soup and salad only and additional $168 for all you can eat steak. Coffee top up is extra cost. The beef is of fair quality, well seasoned and the texture is quite good. The dining space is very spacious. The salad selection is very good and all around a good lunch.

The servers are all very friendly. Tried the all you can eat beef set. There are three kinds of beef you can order : wagyu, Angus Rump Cap Steak and roast beef. Personally I like the Cap steak best because I can actually taste the grilled "charcoal" . Not sure if it really use charcoal style grilled though. Self serve provides salad/ smoked salmon/ fried mushrooms and daily soup.

Took Mom out for a much-needed steak lunch today at The Grill Room. • Rib Eye + Malbec: A classic duo that never fails. 🍷 • Angus Beef Burger: That fried egg combo is a winner. 🍳🍔 Found this gem in Causeway Bay Plaza 2. Great value for a semi-buffet and such a nice break from the busy routine. Hoping your week is as tasty as mine!

Before heading to the exhibition at HKCEC, we stopped by The Grill Room at Causeway Bay Plaza for lunch. Super convenient location, with a chic dark French-style interior that feels romantic. Mains: - Pan-seared sea bass 🐟 — crispy skin, tender flesh, paired with potato starch and herb yogurt sauce. Refreshing, layered flavors. - New Zealand ribeye steak 🥩 — requested medium, perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. Served with fries and mustard, simple yet classic. - A glass of Alamos Malbec 2024 🍷 — rich fruit aroma with blackberry, cherry, and a hint of chocolate. Full-bodied but smooth tannins, an excellent match with the steak. There’s also a salad bar 🥗 with kale salad, green tea cake, fries, curry puffs — plenty of variety. We finished with the French-style pudding 🍮, eggy and silky smooth, just the right sweetness. Overall: high-quality food, romantic vibe, and convenient location.
