When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Opening hours: daily, 11:00–21:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2702 1388. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.
It has a Google rating of 3.7 out of 5 from 426 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

It is a good place to try out all kind of roasted goose and pork. We ordered one dish of roasted goose comes with leg, and one dish of roasted pork (Cha Siu) with rice, and added rice noodles in soup since it’s two of us. I wouldn’t say it is the best place in terms of taste and the environment (quite packed), as a local for 38 years in HK I would give 3 stars out of 5 for its taste, but definitely value for money so I would give 3.5.

A bit disorganized but the food didn’t disappoint. Without having to wait, this spot was above average. The service could be better streamlined to reduce errors and save on theirs costs. Got two soups (already finished one and was given another), a ton of rice although I asked for less, veggies had to be redone as I requested no sauce but it originally arrived with sauce. Also got goose sauce instead of scallion ginger oil. Good seasoning on the meats. The BBQ pork was a bit less fat but flavor was on point.

I tried Kams last time and people were saying it was a tourist trap and to try roast goose where more locals go to, like this place. The goose had the tasty tea leaf flavor where the cavity was, like how they usually season duck. I like that flavor but it was a bit too salty. The skin was not crispy at all. The meat was soft and not dry. However, I value the skin the most when eating roast goose. The suckling pig had a crispy skin but such a big layer of fat. The chicken was super soft and the homemade ginger scallion sauce was delicious. One of them came with a free soup but if they don't ask you or if you don't ask for it, you might not get it. Soup also only lasts until whenever it's done.

Wanted to go to Kam's but after seeing the queue, decided to come here since there was no crowd. Goose skin is crispy which is good and while the restaurant can be a bit cleaner (less oily floor)?, the toilet was clean 👍 Great thing is, they accept visa and mastercards.

There’s no goose meat offered in Australia. That’s why I’m obsessed with goose meat in HK. Heard a lot about this restaurant with its roasted meat. The roasted goose rice was cold but surprisingly the meat was so tender and the skin remained crispy. I believe it deserved 5 stars when it’s warm. Service also comparatively good. Reasonable price ice compared to other local restaurants.
