香港大學校友會, a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Central, Central and Western, is at 香港島德己立街Yip Fung Building Room 101No.2. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only.
Opening hours: daily, 12:00–15:00 and 18:00–22:00. It opens every day of the week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. You can call 2522 7968; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. More information is on its website, hkuaa.org.hk.
At 4.1 out of 5 on Google (301 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic dining experience at the HKUAA Clubhouse (香港大學校友會). The food is great, but what really sets this place apart is the exceptional front-of-house team. The staff here are incredibly friendly, highly professional, and honestly, a very sharp and good-looking crew. They bring a wonderful energy to the room that makes the whole vibe feel both upscale and genuinely welcoming. Excellent service from start to finish!

This Chinese restaurant is exclusively for university alumni, making it a distinctive venue for alumni gatherings and networking events. The decor is elegant and the space is noticeably more spacious than most restaurants in Central, offering a comfortable and refined environment for conversations and reunions. We ordered around ten different dishes, and every one was well executed. The food was flavourful yet well balanced, without feeling heavy or greasy, and each dish was served hot and fresh, reflecting good kitchen consistency even when catering to a large group. The restaurant is on the pricier side, which is understandable given its exclusive access, prime location, and overall quality. It is particularly suitable for business lunches, alumni functions, or more formal get-togethers, rather than casual dining. Overall, this is a strong and dependable choice for alumni, offering quality food, a pleasant atmosphere, and a sense of exclusivity that makes it ideal for special occasions within the alumni community.

January 2025: I enjoyed a meal here with three friends and every dish was very good. We had: - Sweet and sour pork - Crispy chicken - Tofu in a pot - YinYang rice - Papaya and fungus dessert soup - Mango filled pastries ********* I had a relaxing experience at this newly renovated restaurant, which features an elegant silver and blue-grey theme. The chicken with truffle was a highlight—delicious and beautifully presented.

First time here, i am wow-ed by the nice decor, definitely feeling very exclusive! Service is super attentive, making sure all guests are taken care of. Food wise overall they are all very good, especially the sweet & sour pork ribs, the golden shrimp and the spring onion chicken. I think the beef brisket is a bit small in portion and i’m paying for the plate setting rather than the taste. Since the space is not big and the ceiling is low so the place can get noisy when it’s a full house. That’s probably the only down side if you want to chat over dinner. I’ll be back to try other dishes.

Excellent classic Cantonese in comfort! Perfect for big groups. The toro duck, prawn toast and steamed minced beef is not easy find outside. Would love to come back again to try other dishes.
