When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 07:00–24:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2392 3396; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

It has a Google rating of 3.4 out of 5 from 221 reviews, which is on the low side, so read the most recent reviews before you go.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.
