Went to this roasted meat resto near Prince Edward MTR Station with my parents for lunch before heading to the Mong Kok Flower Market. . I ordered the Roasted Meat Double Topping with Lai Fun (HKD62), choosing Roasted Pork and Pork Hock for my toppings. The roasted pork had a bubbly, golden-brown crackling crust layered over tender, juicy meat. Dipping the slices into the hot mustard sauce made them less heavy. The pork hock was thinly sliced with a pleasantly gelatinous texture, it carried a smoky aroma that paired nicely with the sweetened white vinegar dipping sauce. My dad ordered the Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Greens Rice. It featured a deep bowl of thick, succulent braised pork belly slices and savoury, dark preserved mustard greens served alongside fluffy white rice. My mom ordered Roasted Goose Rice (HKD66). The roasted goose boasted a glossy, deeply caramelized crispy skin. We also had their Slow-Cooked Daily Soup. It featured a slow-cooked pork broth packed with a sweet chunk of carrot and almond seeds, making it savoury and nourishing. . The resto is very localised and down-to-earth. The staff were generally friendly and welcoming.
