Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

Following its recent transformation, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental continues to set the benchmark for luxury in Hong Kong. The moment I stepped into the newly elevated lobby, I was struck by its residential warmth—it feels like a sophisticated private study or modern living room infused with subtle, elegant Oriental aesthetics. From the start, the service was exceptional. Mr. Besjon Vokshi and Mr. Terry Chou warmly welcomed me and escorted me to Blanc de Noir, sharing insightful highlights of the property’s latest redesign along the way. The aperitivo experience at Blanc de Noir was flawless. The space itself is chic and intentionally designed, paired with an outstanding wine list and remarkably attentive service from Alfonso and Raymond at our table. It is easily one of the premier spots to see and be seen in the city right now. Highly recommended!

Our stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience overall. One of its greatest strengths is its excellent location, which made it very convenient to explore the surrounding restaurants, and shopping areas. The hotel itself exudes luxury, with elegant interiors, comfortable accommodations, and beautifully maintained facilities that made our stay both relaxing and enjoyable. While we were very pleased with our overall experience, there are a few areas where the service could be improved to better reflect the hotel’s high standards. At times, service was slower than expected, and there were occasional inconsistencies in communication and coordination. Addressing these areas would undoubtedly enhance the guest experience and further elevate the hotel’s reputation. What truly made our stay memorable, however, was the exceptional hospitality shown by several members of the team. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Arnold Pinggol, John, Micheal, Sugar, Hon, Fiona, and Oliver. Each of them demonstrated genuine warmth, professionalism, and a sincere willingness to assist. Their attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and commitment to ensuring our comfort made a lasting impress

We had a wonderful time at Mandarin Oriental the landmark and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional stay. Right from the start, the check-in process was awesome, and the staff were incredibly friendly, providing excellent service throughout our entire visit. The newly renovated room was impressively spacious and comfortable, which was a true luxury. On top of that, the location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Central, making it incredibly convenient to explore the area. To finish it all off, the breakfast was absolutely perfect. Thank you to the wonderful team for a memorable stay; we will absolutely be back!
