Having always appreciated Pizza Maru's offerings, I visited their newly opened location at Times Square after seeing an advertisement. While the culinary offerings remained consistent with my previous experiences, I was taken aback by a notable change in policy: the implementation of a charge for plastic gloves, which I believe were previously complimentary with fried chicken orders. Although the restaurant itself maintains its quality, this new surcharge for gloves was a disappointing development that detracts from the overall experience.
