Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

Shinko has two branches, and the Causeway Bay location is larger and more comfortable. The decor features a stylish combination of black and wood tones, and they offer a special menu exclusive to this location, making it hard to choose! 😍 Sea Urchin Wagyu Grill ($378) This dish features Kagoshima A4 wagyu served with Japanese pearl rice and a raw egg yolk. The staff grill it right in front of you, releasing an aromatic burst of flavor. The meat is incredibly tender and rich, and when combined with the egg yolk and sea urchin, it's absolutely divine! 🔥 Grilled Fish Collar ($148) Shaped like a flower and lightly grilled, it's topped with salmon roe, making it visually stunning! The collar is the most succulent part of the fish, rich and sweet, and the addition of a tangy vinegar sauce balances the flavors perfectly. A larger portion would make it even better! 🤤 Japanese Chicken Wrapped with Sakura Shrimp ($118) The crispy exterior and fragrant shrimp complement the juicy chicken perfectly. This dish is a must-try for anyone who loves fried food! 🦐 Pork Cutlet with Triple Cheese ($238) The pork is shaped like a cutlet and loaded with cheese, resulting in a crispy exterior and gooe

Went there for birthday sinner before and revisited just for their wagyu, coz the dish is just so unique and can't find in other restaurants. It tasted as nice as my memory, just love it! Also tried their sea urchin fried rice, which is surprisingly good!

🏯 I had the pleasure of dining at Shinko, a highly recommended Japanese restaurant in Causeway Bay. With glowing reviews from friends and a reputation for excellence, my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed. Here are the exquisite dishes we savored: 1️⃣ Grilled Wagyu Beef with Urchin (申子海膽和牛燒)🥩🔥 $378: Prepare to be amazed by the captivating culinary showmanship of the Shinko waitstaff as they expertly prepare this dish right before your eyes. Using a flame gun, the raw wagyu beef is seared to perfection. The waiter then adds a raw egg and rice, carefully rolls the beef step by step, and finally crowns it with a generous serving of creamy sea urchin. Each bite is a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. 2️⃣ Crab white-meat and yellow-meat Risotto (極上蟹肉蟹膏燉飯) 🦀 $288: Prepare to be enchanted by the rich and luxurious flavors of this creamy risotto, featuring the finest white-meat and yellow-meat crab. Every bite is a celebration of decadence. 3️⃣ Grilled Yam with Mentaikoad and Cheese (明太子芝士山藥)🧀 $68: Savor the delightful combination of smoky grilled yam, savory mentaikoad, and creamy cheese. This dish strikes the perfect balance between earthy, spicy, and cheesy flavo

This izakaya is a place I've heard about before, and this time I finally got a chance to try it out. As soon as I entered, I could feel the izakaya atmosphere. The soft lights illuminated every table, creating a cozy ambiance. While looking at the menu, the restaurant already served us wagyu sushi. It turns out that they offer complimentary wagyu sushi before 6:30 pm or after 8:45 pm in the evening. The wagyu meat was lightly seared, tender, and had a rich beef flavor with a hint of smokiness. Grilled Wagyu Beef with Urchin is a dish where the waiter prepares the wagyu beef right in front of you using a blowtorch. They then mix it with Japanese egg sauce and wrap the wagyu slices around the rice. Finally, they top it off with sea urchin. It's a delightful combination of melt-in-your-mouth beef, sea urchin, and flavorful rice soaked in egg sauce. Their signature dish, Tonkatsu in Layers (Triple Cheese), is always eye-catching. As soon as it arrived, I was captivated by the layers of pork enveloped in gooey cheese. Each layer can be pulled apart, and the crispy outer layer adds a nice texture. The pork melts in your mouth, and the cheese is creamy and stretchy, creating a wonderfu
