About 岩浪天扶良日本料理

岩浪天扶良日本料理 is a Japanese or Korean restaurant in Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, at 香港島銅鑼灣糖街31號17樓. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.

When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead.

Opening hours: daily, 12:00–15:00 and 19:00–23:00. It opens every day of the week. Lunch and dinner are served in separate sessions with a break in between. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. You can call 2591 1159; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

Customers give it an average of 4.4 out of 5 on Google (141 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

🍣✨ This sushi gem (岩浪天扶良日本料理)is my ultimate favorite omakase spot in all of Hong Kong—and honestly, it’s a cut above even the top places I’ve been to in Japan. The atmosphere is immaculate: cozy, refined, and full of warm energy. The chef (Ricky-san) is not only a master of his craft, but also incredibly charismatic and chatty, turning every course into a delicious story. With an endless variety of premium selections, each dish is a surprise and delight—especially the tempura, which is fried to absolute perfection. Every visit feels like a special occasion. Pro tip: BOOK A TABLE. This place gets packed, and for good reason. A must-visit for anyone serious about Japanese cuisine! 🍤🍶

Love it! Thanks 華師傅 in particular for thorough explanations for each sushi dish. Sushi was definitely fresh, and the different thing about this place is that they make it more like a fusion type, adding different ingredients like carvier, yuzu sauce

Very good food and service. The place is certainly not considered cheap HOWEVER, if you consider that they give you top quality ingredients cooked in ways not typically seen in other omakase restaurants, then it is very very value for money. The chef repreated checks in to see if we are full and happy to add on if we were not. We are not big eaters so didn't ask for more but the chef did mention if any guest is not full after the courses, he will ensure they are. My child doesn't eat raw foods and they created a nice kid's menu for her. Amazing quality and food though it's for kids!

I strongly recommend this place as this place provide reasonable price with high quality Japanese food. The food is amazing with chef cooking technique. For this restaurant, I strongly recommend the course with tempera. Temperas are amazing with seasonal food ingredient. You will feel super satisfy after the whole course. Must sit in the bar instead of the table, you will have different enjoyment. Another restaurant which I recommended and if I can rate more than 5 stars, I will.

Food is delicious, fresh ingredients with nice and detailed presentation. There is a large variety of dishes to choose, sashimi, sushi, tempura, all at good quality. Chef are friendly and provide good services. They moved to a new location in a nearby building at Sugar Street. Decorations and menus were upgraded, now serve omakase menus only, still kept the good quality and service.
